IPC J-STD-001 - Electronic Assembly Soldering Standards

This course describes the materials, methods and verification criteria for producing high quality soldered joints; it emphasises the importance of process control. Working to a worldwide standard like J-Std-001 and having staff trained to the standard might be the only way to gain a manufacturing contract or to get products certified for markets such as aerospace or medical applications.

IPC A-600 - Acceptability of Printed Boards

IPC 600 sets the standard for PCB workmanship, with comprehensive acceptance criteria for target, acceptable and non-conforming conditions on bare printed boards. Certification in this industry-developed and approved IPC PCB training programme helps to build understanding of critical quality assurance/visual acceptance criteria for unpopulated printed circuit boards. It also shows customers that a company is committed to the continuous improvement of its operations and product quality.

IPC WHMA-A-620 - Cable and Wire Harness Acceptability

Applying the IPC 620 Standard to your business will help reduce problems and therefore save you time and money. IPC 620 certification also demonstrates a commitment to customer requirements and can help achieve ISO certification or other quality assurance initiatives. Companies have seen significant improvements in quality through implementing the IPC cable harness programme, as staff are much better able to identify and solve problems when they work to well-defined criteria of what is acceptable

IPC 7711/7721 - Rework, Repair and Modification of Electronic Assembli

Don’t waste money by scrapping faulty assemblies; with IPC 7711/7721 you can repair and rework them.

Skills Training

Unique in the UK, Electronics Yorkshire holds the solution to ensuring you and your staff can recognise the appropriate levels of workmanship your products demand and, importantly, know how those levels can be achieved. As well as IPC we deliver bespoke industry-focused training through specialist courses listed on this page.
